…But There’s A Much More ‘Poisonous’ Message About Internet Marketers That Needs To Be Addressed

I’m so sick and tired of the anti-marketing attitudes of writers, pundits, and others on the Internet. It’s been going on since the Web started to take off in 1994/1995.

So many of these people make it out like all Internet-based marketers are only selling scammy, rip-off garbage. And while the Internet is certainly filled with all kinds of jackasses that spam and abuse every known online service and tool there is, not enough ‘credit’ is given to marketers (like me and most of my customers) that have great marketing and success online and do things the RIGHT way.

And not enough credit and attention is given to the fact that if it wasn’t for Internet marketers there would be no Internet or Web 2.0 as it is today.

MONETIZATION IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF THE INTERNET.

Without all of the affiliate marketers, affiliate merchants, small bloggers, advertising networks, marketers buying PPC traffic, and everything else that is a part of the “Internet Economy” 99% of what’s on the Web today would not exist.

So for Mark, and any others that seem to take this anti-marketing attitude, the next time you cash your paycheck you should take a moment to realize it wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the very marketers that create and sustain the economy of the Web.

Heck, just take a look at many of the ways that the Mashable blog is able to generate revenue — many of those programs and networks only exist because of marketer activity.

So if you kill all the Internet marketers, YOU KILL THE INTERNET.

As far as the spammy and abusive marketers go, it’s unfortunate and it pollutes the Web. Thankfully, the Internet has this great darwinism effect where those that don’t provide value end up getting destroyed. Junk and scammy crap will always end up in FAILURE. The ‘problem’ is that so many new junk peddlers take the place of the old ones.

This is another common anti-marketing attitude that has existed online for ages. So many people are put off by marketing or promotion for anything to do with “making money.” Even, though, there are hundreds if not thousands of fantastic products on the subject that are truly helping people.

To realize this, I only have to take a look at the success stories created by my own teachings and what they’ve done for thousands of individuals and their families.

Are there tons of people peddling utter garbage and worthless “I’ll show you how to press a big red button and get rich” crap online? Unfortunately, YES.

But to stereotype anyone and everyone that publishes or provides marketing or business advice is PATHETIC. And that is primarily what happens when it comes to the anti-marketing attitude.

A Quiet Revolution Is Forming

These anti-marketing folks need to realize something…

The world is changing quickly. Economies are evolving. More and more people around the globe are realizing the benefits of having their own business online. The ‘marketing’ uses of the Internet are only going to GROW. And it’s actually going to make the Internet even STRONGER and more developed. As the needs to increase monetization are created it will spawn more innovation online.

The survival of Ideas, Sites, Services, and Companies on the Web are ALL dependent upon the activity from Internet marketers. I just wish more people would start to realize it.

Entrepreneurs are unique from most people because they tend to follow a dream and believe me they dream alot. Having dreams and striving to get them to eality is what drives us on. When things get difficult or tough or even if we have failed or made a huge mistake we learn from them.

You must persue your dream of becoming financially independent or whatever it may be. Are you persuing your dream or are you still just dreaming?

An entrepreneur never ever ever gives up on his/her dream.

BUT. There are some things you ned to take into account when persuing your dream and that is some sort of structure.

What is your vision? Are you starting to live that vision? What I mean by this is have you imagined in your mind that you are going to be wealthy. What house you long to live in, which car will you be driving and where will you be going on holiday? Think like an entrepreneur and talk like one. Mix with similar people who all have dreams of greatness.

Commiment is essential when you are persuing your dreams. You need to know that you will have to work hard at achieving success and realising your dreams. That’s why you are an entrepreneur. You are the one who will be slogging away trying to get to the next step in your bid to live your dream. I constantly work 16-17 hours per day persuing my dreams. I have more than one to keep me busy.

One is to transform the way making money online is taught in the UK. In my opinion it’s all gone a little stale. The same old faces telling the same old story over and over again and sucking money from your pocket for little in return.

IT”S SHOCKING!!

Making money online is being mis-represented in the UK as the easy way to cash in on other suckers. Well, it’s over now. I intend to do my best to make sure that people who are looking to make money online get the real story and know what they need to do to be a success.

Take Action - As I have said, you will get nothing back if you put nothing in. Simple as that my friends. I don’t mean take action by starting some online business for the sake of it. I mean getting passionate about something you believe in. Create something that is useful and not some crap you want to sell off clickbank that’s already been run ragged. All you have to do is hit the big fat GO button and get stuck in. Take action and something will happen.

ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS

Get results - If you are not selling then find out why? Do tests and see if little changes to your mindset or product can help. Set yourself some realistic goals that are achievable. Start off small. Get to the 5,000 mark, then the 10k then 50k and so on. Before you know it you will be well on your to making a lot of money online.

Get your product right, the pricing, the format - DVD, CD, EBOOK or whatever it is you use. Get to know your customers and find out what they prefer.

Decide on your strategy and decide how you will get to see your dreams in reality.

You need to make things happen - Build a plan for your first month income, one for the next 6 and then one for the year. Strive towards achiveing that gincome goal from your online business. Entrepreneurs never think smal. YOU must think BIG and push yourself beyond your comfort zones.

REWARD yourself when you reach this goals. Take a holiday or even go for a big celebration dinner. These are the times you will cherish the most. I remember my first sale off the Internet. I went and spent the whole 29 pounds on a slap breakfast at a local cafe. Nothing flash I know, but someone else paid for that breakfast. It was a proud day I can tell you that.

 Find the time - Starting an online business will take time from you. At least 10-15 hours a week needs to be spent on this just to build some mementum to get traction othewise you will sit and spin and get nowhere. Ever heard the saying, I travelled a million miles but got nowhere?

Care about what you produce - Please do not create junk or crap that will not help anyone and in turn will not make you a penny. Care about your customers and always return calls and emails. You may just learn something. 

CARE ABOUT YOURSELF. Don’t burn yourself out. Maintain a constant acceptable pace that will let you also enjoy family life and friends.

Learn to trust your GUT FEEL - This is always your initial instinct that in most cases is right. Listen to your instincts as they will help protct you from making silly decisions. Just like buying a course for thousands that offers little in return.

Always be willing to LEARN from each and every experienc you see or hear. Learn from others and learn from your instinct.

Reduce your RISK - Do this by making sure you do your research up front. Find out who is also in your market place and check out what solutions they offer before jumping in and losing face and money.

With this said it can be tough to let go of a product you thought would be interesting. It may just be that from your research this product has been over sold already and you may have to step back and start again. This is one of the toughest parts of starting out. Making the tough decisions and trusting your instinct will be worth it in the long run.

When checking out the competition take a look at what they do and if you think you can really do it much better then go for it. Oinch ideas and build on them. Turn them into a worth while solution. Somebody may have a great piece of software out there that they have no idea on how to promote. Set up a JV and you too could make a fortune from someone elses ideas.

DREAMS - Without them it’s going to be hard to an online business because without a dream you have no passion. You must do something you are oing to enjoy. It’s no use trying to sell something online that you find boring. You have to be pasionate about your product and ideas and believe in them.

Many self made multi millionaires have the same thought process and the same beliefs for sucess in business whether on or off line.

Online is where it is going to be and now is the time to get started so you are established when the Internet really takes off and you will have a good name built up over the next 2-3 years.

So please, don’t just buy some rubbsih just because it sounds good. Don’t just buy off some GURU because he has many followers who I call wasters. Wasters because they spend most of their time just reading emails from these guys and buy all the crap that they never use. They go on forums and pretend to be experts but offer very little. Hey, anyone can copy text from an ebook and use it to answer questions on forums.

There are a lot ofso called gurus offering the same stuff and promoting each other. Make sure you follow your own passions and instincts and firstly establish what you are passion about and how you are going to promote and produce your products.

Starting an online business is not what I would call hard but it is going to burn you up alive if you get it wrong. Get it wrong from the outset and you will lose lot’s of money and time.

I teach you all you need to know to get started and to grow your online business but essentially you are going to produce the products, content, commitment, passion, time, care, determination, confidence, drive, ambition and all in all the entrepreneurship that simply cannot be taught.

Working from home has so many benefits over working at an office or a factory or wherever it is you travel to each day to earn a buck or two.

Now, I want to stress that making money from an online home business can be done from anywhere on the planet so long as you have an Internet connection and your trusted Laptop. Not just from your home. It’s totally mobile and can go with you where ever you decide to roam.

Sure, you may not want to take your business with you on holiday but I bet once you are up and running that you are going to be checking your sales almost every hour like I did when I first started out. It’s addictive to say the least especially when you find that there are 20 sales worth 2,000 pounds or more sitting in your account all while you snoozed or cooled off in the pool.

The reason I am talking about a home business today is that I do get asked if I get to take holidays as I always seem to be working.

Yes I do take holidays. In fact I took over 5 last year and am about to set off to Tuscany in Italy for a week to spend my birthday relaxing. Will I check my sales online? Yes I will, but, I have a Blackberry device that tells me automatically so I can check any time. It’s good to know how much is going into the account that day so I can control what my lovely partner decides to spend.

Working from home gives you amazing freedom. We are about to get our first dog together and there will be lot’s of training to do. Being at home allows me to do this and spend more time with family.

I take care of my grandparents as they are getting a little older now and I get the occassional call to go help them out. Fortunately I can just drop everything to help them and make sure they are happy.

Have you got kids at home? Would you like to spend more quality time with them? I bet you would.

What about the extra income? What will you do with the extra 100 or so? More holiday’s, a better car, bigger house or a place in the country or abroad?

To be successful in this business you need to have dreams and goals to work towards to keep you focused on the rewards at the end of the hard work.

Starting an online business from home is simple and has never been better. It’s also credit crunch proof. get started today and don’t waste another day wondering what it would be like to be at home on the next warm sunny day.

I just got of the phone from a couple of friends in the US who by the way are very wealthy online business owners.

We were on a call to talk about possible joint ventures and I’m glad to say one was struck up which you will get to see soon if you are part of my list.

But, we then got talking about how dreams of property owners and especially new home buyers have been shattered and how many people have lost all their savings just to be on the property ladder.

This is true in the US and in the UK and I would guess many other countries. So, is property out of favour at the moment? I’d say more than likely and more so with new buyers or investors.

Sure, there are ways to buy property and still make money but the fact is it’s going to cost you much more to borrow the money and in turn eat up your profits.

Well, where do I make money then?

One thing I would not do is buy apartments with big promise of discounts. Very very risky. If you must look at this be sure to make sure you can get the rent first and then think about the investment.

Do your research!!!

I was in property up until almost a year ago when all the credit crunch talk came into play. I sold all bar one and I am very happy with the choice of timing. Hey, I will get back in but I’ll be waiting for at least two years to pass by.

That’s great but where do I make money now?

You could try the stock market, buying and selling options or calls and puts as they are known. You could try spread betting or you could get into oil futures since it seems to be on the rise all the time.

How about stocks in supermarkets as food is also on the rise. Wheat, rice?

What would I do?

In my opinion you need something that is away from all the greed and fear of these markets. You need something that will make you money all day every day and has proven demand.

That brings me back to my conversation with my friends in the US. We all teach people around the world how to make money on the Internet by finding what people need and how to supply it to them.

You see, if you can find something that people are screaming out for no matter what the stock market or property market is doing hen you have an asset.

An asset?

Yes, you have something that returns more moeny than you spend on it with a residual income that comes in from around the globe. Not just locally.

But, you need to make absolutely sure that what you are promoting has a massive demand and has litle competition.

This would not include Below Market Property or Foreclosures. As you may have noticed this market is now swamped with many ads in newspapers etc.

So, you see?

You need to find another way to make the same money you expected to make in property but without the hassles of dealing with solicitors, tenants, survey’s, finance and more.

Imagine being your own boss, working from home and earning cash 7 day’s per week while working less than 4.

Well you can. I do and thousands of others do to from all ove rthe world. If you prefer to get left behind and would like to wait for the next property boom or whatever it may be then forget about all of this and continue along your way.

However, if you think this sounds like a possible way to earn a few extra pounds a week to cober rising bills and mortgages etc then it’s well worth working a day or two a week on this.

If you want to make thousands more a week then it’s worth putting 4-5 day’s a week as you can do that with this.

Once it’s up and running then you can expect to get regular income each and every day with little continued effort until you decide you would like more income and then you would add some extra time.

It’s up to you how much you want to earn. NOT your ability to earn.

I use many tools. The first is you need to do find out where your customers are hanging out and then find out what it is they are looking for. Once you have a demand then go about finding the supply. Or as some say identify the problem and then provide the solution.

Now, online is a little different. You need to get people to your site through search engines and search engines are all about keywords. So, you need to know what keywords are going to work for your product.

To do this you need keyword finders and these include, Google Keyword tool, Wordtrackers free keyword tool and the paid version of wordtracker that is simply the best.

It’s all great having these tools but you need to know how to use them. I would recommend reading the tutorials for all and you will have a good idea of what to do.

Without these tools you will be guessing what keywords to use and at the same time guessing what your customers are looking for.

I recently conducted a survey of all my list and the reuslts were far from surprising. In fact I predicted the result weeks ago. How? I asked the same questions and had the same motivations when I was starting out and little has changed in those 5 years.

Here is a taster of those results,

When asked if you have started an online business 85.7% said NO and of that 85.7%, almost 90% said because they did not KNOW HOW. That’s right, they just don’t know where to start.

The others answered with, never heard of salescopy, hate SEO, no traffic, no money and can’t do html.

The I asked what I could do to help? 65% said the cheapest way to get traffic. The next biggest was how to build a website and the rest were made up of marketing, ebboks, I am new and have no idea what to do.

Then, the BIG question.

What motivated you to look at INTERNET MARKETING?

Number one with 88% was…. MONEY.

The rest were closely associated with money and are as follows; leave my day job, hate commuting, buy a house, flash car, help my family, be mega rich and finally the lowest of all, I just Love It.

So, as you can see the main reason for starting this business is to make lot’s of money. BUT, if you start wrong you will lose a lot of money and fast. People will suck you into get rich quick scams that just don’t work for the beginner.

Well that’s got to be one of the most boring headlines I have ever seen. Internet Marketing. What does it really all mean?

Does it mean you have to read through a mountian of blogs about some person making Millions off all the others who are not?

I have recently thought about what on earth draws so many people into this world of Internet Marketing make believe. The belief that they to can be Millionaires just by sending a few emails, writing a few articles and having a blog. Well, that’s what I used to think anyway.

The thing here is I believe that most of you are downright mad and completely crazy to think this is how you can make money. It’s one big fantasy for you and you almost believe your own lies and that of many others who spread the FANTASY.

I visit the same blogs and forums where you post the rubbish that you just got from another site. I read the rubbish that you write and I read the abuse you hand out hiding behind your PC. There is only one thing worse than a coward and that is a foolish coward.

Now, before you send me masses of home grown abuse and obscene language wait just a minute.

If what I desribed is you then please sign off now and never visit my blog again. If this does not desribe you then please read on.

Starting out in this business can be extremely daunting and many in forums can be just outright rude. There seems to be very little room for newbies anymore but always room for arrogant fools who in almost all cases are making zero money in this business.

The ego’s have landed…

Did you all manage to see the brand new apprentice show last night? Well, I watched it all even if I had to cringe at most of it. These people have been selected from around 10,000 applicants to prove to Sir Alan that they are worthy of a place in one of his companies on a six figure salary with all the trappings of the high life.

Now, from all the previous series I don’t think there is one left working for him unless you count last year’s winner who can’t even finish a website in a year promoting Sir Alan’s property empire etc. Maybe he should join singingpig for a little more expertise.

Anyway, Nicholas was fired in what was a fairly quick decision compared to previous sackings and I even think the decision was made once the young man opened his mouth and completely slammed anyone and everyone in the country if they did not hold a degree in law.

This person even told the world how intelligent he was and how he hated football and that he was going to eat the rest alive. Well, given his audience in the boardroom I think he needs to think before opening his wide, loud personality. Camp as he may seem I am sure he will have many more failures in his life ahead.

Now, this brings me back to reality. 16 people have been given a huge chance here to be mentored by one of the most successful people in business in the UK, yet, they cannot seem to listen to the advice given by Sir Alan and his team at any given time. The problem is they think they know it all already.

Competition is healthy but shooting yourself down before you get up is crazy.

I have been involved in trading the stock market and property but before I did anything I seeked out the best people to teach me the right way and yes, I listened to all that they said and did exactly what they told me to do. Did it work out?

 YES! I still trader the markets and I still have properties all purchased without a penny of my own money. In fact I got paid to buy them. I even made sure I had the best mentor for starting an online business and now I actually have 3 that I still learn a great deal from. Sadly, none of these are based in the UK.

My mentors have done a wonderful job on me and I’ll thank them for life but what I struggle with is seeing posts about them being frauds or picking out parts of what they teach as being too hard or just not viable.

FACT. I know what they teach works.

I also know that there are frauds out there. I subscribe to all their rubbish and still try to call them or email them and yet they refuse to return my call or emails. WHY? Because they are selling something they don’t understand. They are simply selling someone else’s material that they do not understand yet they claim to know it all.

Yes, I sell other people’s material but I only target some of my list with what I think is suitable to them and is related to what my website is all about.  Imagine me selling a beginners guide to the galaxy to an astronaut. It’s not going to happen and I’m sure there will be little I can teach an astronaut. In fact I would ask him to write an ebook for me and market it to the world. May have already been done by Buzz…

It’s the same with the apprentices last night trying to sell fish and lobsters in London. They knew nothing about the product and did little to find out. No research at all and yet they all had a mobile phone to do so. I for one would have called my grandfather as I know he curses the price of fish and tries a different kind each week. Lobster for a fiver. He would have taken the whole lot and then gone to his local monger and sold the lot for double the money.

 Where would you go for expertise to buy property, buy shares or start your own online business? Not to my grandfather would be my first tip. Ha ha.

The point I am trying to make here is I see many posts on many forums from new people and experienced too, asking the same questions over and over again.

What should I sell?

Where do I start?

How do you buy property without any money?

The share market is in a mess, how on earth do you make money?

My bank manager said there’s no way I can buy a house without a deposit!

Who do I trust?

I can’t afford to buy a house?

I can’t afford to start a web business?

Well, I hate to disappoint you but yes you can! Try picking up your phone and calling these people. Send them an email. Join the networking clubs. See what others are saying about them. If you don’t you will continue to ask the questions above.

It’s much easier than putting yourself on T.V for 16 weeks in front of the nation to get 100k a year. I know you can make a lot more than that working for YOURSELF.

Beating the credit crunch is not as simple as starting an online business or buying Below market price properites and going to work everyday is not going to beat it. EVER! Neither is sitting on your butt doing nothing. In  fact it’s going to take all of these things with the exception of doing nothing.

Now when I say stop the credit crunch, I mean for YOU.

First you need to know a little about how this world of ours is working. Most of you should have heard of the World Bank by now but few will know what it’s all about. Of course you can take a look at thier website but that will tell you little. Some critics of the World Bank say that the institution has actually contributed to poverty around the globe instead of reducing it and that it supports US business interests. We have seen this in the last week or so and massive contributions from the UK were well recieved. I am talking Billions.

It is also said that the World Bank has consistantly pushed an agenda imposing policies on developing countries which have been very damaging and almost anti-developmental. Is the Bank blaming the poor in these countries for the problem?

How much influence does the US have on the World Bank? Again, criticisms of the structure of the World Bank point out that the president of the Bank is always an American who is nominated by the US president himself and at present that is George Bush. World Bank or US cash to control the world? I will leave it up to you to decide.

The Bank of England’s website talks of financial stability and that’s something the governement noted several times in the latest budget. Maybe they read the website to and considered it good for the budget. I strongly recommend reading the 2006 and 2007 report which can be downloaded free from the site.

The work is linked to the Bank’s surveillance effort which aims to help identify possible risks to financial stability and hence promote risk mitigation by policy makers and private sector risk managers. You will find it under pulications and then stability reports. What you will notice is the Bank was getting very nervous back in 2006 about what is currently going on. Did the government listen. Well, maybe but Mr Brown didn’t seem to when he delivered his “last budget” before becoming PM.

Why is that cigarettes and booze are always at the top of the agenda on any budget. Is it because in times of trouble the government knows what to invest in when the times are tough.

People get more stressed as they have less money, they may drink more at home to drown the problems out. When people atay home more they use more power. Should we invest in utility shares? Well, these prices seemed to have risen sharply since the news about the credit crunch was considered a problem by the Bank.

What about shares in supermarkets and food producers. Again, the prices all seem to be going through the roof. Wheat? Gold? Highest ever prices.

Why are Banks all going down the tube? Well if you read the report for 2007 from the Bank of England they actually mention Bears Stearn in there as being in trouble due to two massive hedge funds. They knew it was coming. We just read about it.

FEAR and GREED is what helps the Banks make thier money. At the moment we are in the state of FEAR. Sell sell sell. We have just come off a massive trend of GREED, buy buy buy. BUT IT ALL, they have told us. No wonder debt is at records. Besides, the Banks all tell us if you cant afford it we will lend it to you. CREDIT CARDS. From the day you are born something is put on a creidt card for you. Student loans. You see all the banks lining up to give you credit, pay your debts etc. They have you and will not let you go. Some call that Mafia, some call it the Firm, the Bank and many call it Life.

With all the Banks going down it’s hard to see through the mist for anyone still making money. Do you hear of Facebook going broke? MySpace, YouTube, Google, Ebay, Microsoft or any of these big Internet Companies? Are they asking the World Bank to save them? Probably why so many people are starting an Online Business…;-]

Do you know that at the age of 65 only 1 out of 100 will be a Millionaire? The rest will struggle to make ends meet. Will you be the one?

When you left school all bright and fresh ready to tackle the world do you remember your teacher coming up to you and saying, “Who wants to go out into the world today, get a job you don’t really like, work very hard at that job, for the next 45 years (or even more now), pay your bills on time and forget about doing what it is you reallt want to do because there is no time left?” Then you get to retire, most will rely on the state to support you and if you live until a ripe old age you may be lucky enough to finish your final years in a state run old peoples home.

Would you have said yes to your teacher? Some would have as they have been told by thier parents it’s the best way.

Now, if that teacher came to you and said, “Who would like to learn how to set yourself up financially and at the age of 30 or less you never had to work another day in your life and you get to spend your time doing what you like. Travel, spend time with family, have a business that you were proud of and helped change peoples lives and live your dreams?”

I’d like to think you would have said yes to this.

I read somewhere once that If you want to succeed, you need to figure out what most people are doing and do the exact opposite.

Right, why on earth am I bothering sharing this with you and spending the best part of an hour of my time typing? Because I am one of those who give a damn. In fact I love seeing people change the way they were taught to think and start thinking for themselves and about what they prefer. So, step up and take a very big look at what you are doing in your life and if you see room for improvment take the steps and get started.

Maybe you want to stop smoking to create extra income, less booze, ride your bike instead of taking the car, eat at home and forget the takeaways, turn the lights off in the room you’re not in, wear an extra jumper when you feel cold, buy unbranded food, write down a budget or whatever it is that most people do.

Or, you could learn what it is that will make you more money so you don’t need to make these sacrifises.

It’s your LIFE. Treat it that way

This seems to be getting a lot of press so I thought I’d help out a little with the Google slap and hand out some myself…

So what is Google Slap?

Well, in basic terms if you use Google Adwords to get people to your site and to buy from you then you may have noticed that Google is slapping some extra profit on thier keywords that you have been using and profiting from for a while I’d suspect.

What Google seems to be claiming is they want to to be much more relevant with the keywords you are using in your ads and the keywords you are using in your campaign.

They mention landing pages too and if your landing page does not match the keywords you are advertising with then they will try to get you to pay upwards of 5 pounds or more per keyword.

NOW THAT HURTS!

So, what do you do or what can you do to off set this?

What I used to do is ride it out for a couple of days and Google just put me back on the old price being pence per click as opposed to pounds or dollars for my US readers.

Of late this has only fixed it for 48 hours or less. So, I decided it’s time to take action and listen to Google. I went to my adwords account, put my URL into the Google Adwords tool and tried the keywords they recommended. So far the slap has not come back and hit me so fingers crossed this will work. I also made sure my URL’s in my ads matched the content of the landing page. Yep, they do.

Make sure all your content is relevant or you will get slapped. Hard!

Affiliates seem to be the hardest hit as a lot of them do depend on adwords to make cash. I guess Google is just trying to clean up the web and get rid of the little scammers that pop up from time to time.

 By the way, if you get emails from “Mike Derosa” double delete as you are a victim of spam.

The timing of this post could not be better. Starting an online business has never be more relevant to get you out of the daily routine of earning tax for the government. Why? With what you ask?

With financial freedom and the removal of all shackles applied from birth. Now this may all sound a little dramatic at first but I am sure there are many more of you out there crying out for help to get yourself above the so called poverty line.

In the UK today I picked up my usual copy of The Times and sat down to read from cover to cover. I read The Times as it leaves out all the normal doom and gloom of many other papers on the stand, but, today is a whole lot different.

Front page of The Times today is a big reflection on where the economy is heading.

“Consumer gloom as spending fails”. It goes on to talk of anxiety and the decline of people eating out, keeping cars for longer, less spending on clothes and back to branded supermarket foods.

There’s also a message form a lady stating this,

“The messgae to the poor is simple: you are not in charge of your life. We are”

She is talking about the governements control over how much money those on benefits and those earning very little. It seems there is no way out from the claws of the ever richer polititian.

Another quote further in “I can’t afford a house or afford a holiday. I’ve never felt so badly off” Food, fuel and taxes are the biggest worry.

Beware. The budget looms but don’t be suprised if hospitals are not on the agenda. Taxes and new runways will be and the new earner, “green taxes”. Why? They make the government millions where they never thought possible. What a fantastic new income stream. POLLUTION.

Now look, I’m no politician but I don’t plan to get sucked into the black hole where the get all the money I earn. Even in a receession in the USA Billions are still being spent on becoming the new president.

Housing gloom. You name it they tell it. Wheat prices are through the roof. Banks are slashing jobs, oil is at record prices. Cheap food has gone and will not return…

What will you do about it?

Take a look at the sports section and read about Lewis Hamilton. Here is a young guy starting out in formula 1 with a 5 year contract worth 70 million pounds. Yet, he still plays it safe and looks to the future and wants to take care of his family. He had to move to the land of the Swiss to escape the clutches of the UK government.

Well, I for one spoke to a gentleman over 15 years ago who said to me, “you will never make your millions working for someone else”. How true. Unless you are a director or CEO of a multinational company or even Lewis Hamilton, you will not make a fortune working in your 9-5 job.

Beat the system and break the mould that says you must pay maximum tax and that you spend all your monthly pay packet in the first week.

Starting your own online business is simple but does require hard work from you and dedication to do the things you need to do each and every day. Get out at night and leave the TV for someone else to find happiness in. Go to seminars, go to wealth creation workshops. Meet new people with the same thought process as you. You may just meet your new business partner or mentor that helps you get out of the big rutt.

So, stop sinking and start swimming.

Starting an online business with little or no experience can be very daunting.

An online business newbie has a maze of infomation right in front of them but few know how to start an online business let alone how to start marketing an online business.

I just got back from a fabulous week skiing in the french alps where I learnt to ski for the first time and I loved it.

What’s this got to do with starting an online business?

Everything!

I sat down and watched instructors teaching kids as young as two and adults in their twilight years and the main thing I noticed was how the kids just listened and did exactly what the instructor told them to do. If he said go straight they did. Turn corners or stop and they did.

Now, another thing is they put complete trust in this person to make sure they were not hurt and kept safe. The older people all seemed to think he was out to hurt them or confuse them in some way.

Watching older people learning how to ski was a lot different to how the kids learnt. You see, they had this preconcieved idea that skiing was going to be hard and that they were going to fall over and get painful injuries to last a week or worse, broken bones.

You will be glad to know I survived the week and will return many times.

BUT!

I then though about how this is true in all things new that we try out. Take Internet Marketing or starting an online business for example. I get emails all the time about how hard it is to get the right information or how hard it is to find someone who knows how but is not so good at teaching.

You need a great instructor who has the experience and knowledge so you don’t make the little mistakes that will turn into very big money wasting exercises. Get rich junk that you will fail with.

Now, I am exprienced in starting an online business and I have taught many to go on and make money the right way. Starting a business needs the right foundations and the right formula to succeed. If you don’t you will fall flat on your face and in most cases not get up again. You will just give up and say it’s all too hard.

I have a seminar coming up on the 26th of April at which I will be teaching 25 people how to start an online business. Once this is day is finished I will be sharing the comments and testimonials with everyone to show you how credibility in your market place is essential.

Hello and welcome to another post about starting an online business.

Everyday I recieve emails from online business entrepreneurs who claim to have the holy grail. The one thing that will make me a millionaire in a year or 10,000 in days etc etc.

I have become immune to most of the recommendations I get emailed to me but that said, I do always check out the site that they send to me or the signature link they may have on a forum.

I have to tell you that just about all of these so called get rich offerings are really not worth the time it took to write them. I am discgusted by some of the rubbish I get sent or even called about sometimes. I see it on forums all the time and not just small forums. Some of the biggest are sucking people in all day every day.

As I said, I do check these sites out and you will be larmed when I tell you that they do not even have the basics when I check what keywords they are using to promote their online business via the meta tags.

In most cases there are none. YES, that’s right. ZIP.

But, they still have the nerve to challenge people who really are the experts. It’s easy to answer questions when you have an ebook in front of you that you can refer to that is written by someone else.

I also laugh when these guys recommend so called gurus to me and their products that they have not even tried. They are just desperate wanna be affiliates who are making nothing from an online business.

WHY?

Because they don’t know how to and they are to lazy to learn.

I bet most don’t know that Google has two other servers that can be used for searching. The search results on them also change during the monthly PageRank update and make up part of the Google dance. 

Fluctuations sometimes occur in the search results, but they should not be confused with the actual dance. They are due to Google’s fresh crawl and is known as “Everflux”. Google has two other searchable servers apart from www.google.com. They are www2.google.com and www3.google.com. Most of the time, the results on all 3 servers are the same, but during the dance, they are different.  

For most of the dance, the rankings that can be seen on www2 and www3 are the new rankings that will transfer to www when the dance is over.

Even though the calculations are done about 40 times, the final rankings can be seen from very early on. This is because, during the first few iterations, the calculated figures merge to being close to their final figures.  

During the dance, the results from www2 and www3 will sometimes show on the www server, but only for a short time. Also, new results on www2 and www3 can disappear for short periods.

Note; At the end of the dance, the results on www will match those on www2 and www3.
