What does wealth mean to you?

Right now is one of the hardest times of the year. The credit card bills are in and it’s time to pay. Those that can pay will have little left until the end of January and will will struggle to make ends meet. Januarys pay is already spent for many. I’d like to help those who would like next January be a little easier if not very comfortable.

Firstly, a couple of questions to get your mind in the right state;

What is YOUR attitude like to money and those who have it?

Are YOU attracted to the idea of being rich or do YOU despise those who do?

Do YOU know the value of something that costs £1 and quickly becomes valued at £1,000’s?

Value is a perception we all have. If I said to you that I have a one pound coin and I tried to sell it to you for £2. Double its value, you would more than likely laugh at me.

If it’s the same old coin you have 10 of then it’s worth a pound. If it has some sort of added value, for example, it was signed by a football star then it has a greater perceived value to anyone who was a fan of that star. They may think its value is now £25. What a profit and all you had to do was get it signed.

Many people I know are uncomfortable talking about money.

It has in many cases stopped people dead in their tracks from pushing ahead to make a better life for themselves. Many of my students who want to start their very own Online Business are almost reluctant to become successful.

Why are they spending money with Ashley Banfield then?

Well, that’s a good question. Let me try to put in like this. I have travelled a lot in the past few years thanks to my online business to places like Thailand, New York, Paris, Prague, Rome, Berlin, and many more.

What I found in each city of each country was a band of people selling fake handbags and watches. Now, tell me why people buy these fakes? Is it because they think they are better quality or better value?

I can tell you it’s because they want to look like they are wealthy or at least get people to look and say wow, he has a nice Rolex. And you know something else; a lot of other people will say to themselves, I bet it’s a fake. You almost cannot win.

You see, we all want the money.

Most do lotto each week and sometimes twice. They want the holidays, the houses, the cars etc. That’s why a lot of stuff you see on the net about making money with an online business has nice photos of people laying on the beach or driving a sports car. Oh, and normally a Bentley or two.

Ever thought about what you are going to have for dinner a few hours before? You might say to yourself, oh, I feel like a nice big fat juicy burger with chips and a nice big soft drink to wash it down with. I bet when it comes to dinner time you more than likely get that burger.

What I am getting at is we normally do or get what we focus on be it good or bad.

So why not focus on what good things being debt free can bring to your life.

Money is essential in today’s world. In the UK you can’t even live in your house with no power, gas etc because you still have to pay the dreaded council tax each and every month.

Let’s look at the super rich of this planet

We always want more money than we really need. Take the billionaires of the world, Bill Gates, Richard Branson and Warren Buffet. Do you think they could spend all that money in their life time? Pretty hard believe me. To them there comes a point that the money does not matter anymore because they have enough for the rest of many lives.

Many successful people are simply scared stiff of failing.

I for one cannot even try to think of failing at something. It’s not about the salary; it’s about how much you can get your business to sell and in time get it to a value that you can sell it for. It could be worth millions.

Myspace, Facebook, YouTube, Goggle….. And many more

My business is worth money simply because I have a select group of individuals in my list that buy from me month in month out. Wouldn’t you just love to get hold of a list like that?

You can. All you have to do is follow what I teach you when you become a student of mine and start your own online business.

Do you have an income goal for each year? Most of you will rely on the bonus at the end of the year to buy gifts or a holiday etc. I have an income goal too. Its way beyond what I need to live comfortable but to me it’s like a pinnacle I have to meet each year. Like a team that must be the top of the league each year. It’s not so much about the money but about the winning.

So, is being wealthy having a bank load of cash?

No, not to me. To me it’s being healthy, having a great family, enjoying the natural wonders of this world and having the independence to do so which sadly means you need to be financially independent to be able to take the unlimited time out unless your boss will let you take off 6 months of the year.

I hear you laughing out loud…

Imagine not having to work 5 or 6 days a week for the same amount of money you do now. Imagine you only work a couple of days a week for the same.

Would that make YOU feel wealthy?

Take some time now to think about what it is you want from your life?

Do you want to be in the same situation you are now in 10 years time? No way. You want to improve upon it.

Is it greedy to want to give to your family and friends?

Whenever I ask people what they would do with a million pounds most always say, I’d pay my parents house off, give some to my best mate. Oh, and I send the whole family on a holiday.

You see, we always want the best for our friends and family. People can be extremely generous.

Money Is Bad

Here is a classic way that people speak to me sometimes,

“Money Is The Root Of All Evil”

RUBBISH

This is what it actually says;

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money have wandered from faith and pierced themselves with many grief’s”

Could they have foreseen the massive debt crisis in this world as it is today?

You will often hear people also say

“Money does not grow on trees”

”Do you think I am made of money?”

 ”Money corrupts”

 ”Easy come easy go”

What do you think of when you think about money?

Ø Debt?

Ø Bills?

Ø Greedy bankers?

Ø Slimy salesmen?

Ø Greedy Gates or Microsoft?

Ø Poverty?

Ø Poor?

Ø Third World?

Ø Rich?

Ø Famous people?

Ø ”Pensions are too low”

Ø ”The government is greedy and selfish”

Ø ”Interests rates will kill us financially”

Ø ”The rich get richer and the poor get poorer”

Ø Credit cards

I want to think about this and fill in the gap and then read it back to yourself at least 3 times. Complete this sentence: “Rich people are _____________”. No swearing now.

Now, think again in a more positive way and write it again.

While you’re filling stuff out do this one too

I want to be a) Richer or

                   b) Poorer

                   C) None of the above (Stay the same)

Richer. Poorer or stay the same.

Staying the same is great if nothing ever increases in price. Bread, milk, petrol.

Richer could be an extra £500 per month or maybe £5,000 extra. It’s up to you how much you think is enough. Poorer..? Well, you tell me.

Let’s look at debt good and bad.

Debt is simply built up because people spend more than they earn or have in the bank. It’s that simple. Years ago people did not have credit cards and had to as they say “go without”.

The fear of not having enough is a constant thought on people minds.

Before I started this business I had a good well paid job but still plenty of debt. It seems the more you get the more you spend. Forget the mondeo and get the BMW type of thinking.

I had the same attitudes and the same self-defeating spending patterns,  what would it have been like if I had budgeted and saved, or even (shock) invested a bit?

What we call positive debt is using other people’s money to make an investment that is paid for by others.

Example, I buy a house using a mortgage from the bank. The mortgage is £1,000 per month. I then rent this house out at £1,200 per month. Not only is the debt paid but I now have £200 per month extra income. This is using other people’s money to make you extra income. Imagine having 10 of those houses.

This is another book in itself.

How about an online business that makes you £200 per month, or £2,000 per month or more if you wish? How about £200,000 per month?

Starting an online business has never been easier with so much information flying around the net. What you need to know is what information is correct and what is the right way of doing things.

Try Changing Your Attitude Towards Money!

Rather than focusing on the negative perceptions of money, develop a positive impression of what money actually is. Forget about our “spend to feel better” culture.

Money is simply a tool for a job. You need it to buy stuff and you need it to sell stuff.

Ø You do deserve to have money - There is no reason why one person deserves money and another does not. Of course you deserve to have money. Feel good about knowing that you do and stop convincing yourself that you will never have money

Ø You can be a good person with money or without - Think of all the good things you could do if you had some spare cash. I make sure I give to charity each and every year. I also make sure my grandparents are always comfortable and take my parents on many holidays. It’s a great feeling seeing them enjoy the fruits of my online business.

Ø There is enough money to go around - Money is created every day so out there somewhere is a healthy share with your name on it.

Ø People with money can be honest - Yes, there are con artists out there and there always will be but this should not stop you from starting your own online business and setting up a site that offers real great content and solutions to problems

Ø You need to be born into money to be rich - Rubbish. Many like me have started with nothing. Corey Rudl started with $25 and now his company is easily worth $60 Million.

What we believe about money and success has a major impact on our lives and any achievements.
